Crossroads

November is a funny month, post October when the mind is focussed on the changing of leaves and the transforming beauty of creation that spreads across a wide canopy, it is truly the crossroads into the New Year. December lies just around the corner, with all thejoys that the coming festive season brings, but with a cautionary tale of dustractions in the pursuit to Summer fitness.

The season of the Long Shadows can become a tough place to find motivation, when it’d be far easier to rest up, seek comfort food and lose site of the Springtime goals.

Being part of a community, no matter how small allows you to hold each other accountable to the pursuit of better, or retained fitness. Trying to observe a monastic discipline these days is tough, and the fellowship of friends is not to be undervalued. I know that I will get better, because we are getting better together.
